Position Overview
The qualifying candidate will join the ALM Treasury Back Office team in Montreal

Duties & Responsibilities
Skill Set

Functional Responsibilities

- Ensure accurate and timely processing of all securities and derivative transactions
- Process FRN, Bonds, Sub-debt, US Treasuries, (in US Branches)
- Process MTN activity (in US Branches)
- Process CPD, Loans & Deposit activity
- Process IRS, Cross Currency Swaps (in US Branches as well as MXN/EUR)
- Process Stock, Warrant & Equity activity
- Maintain Volume reporting
- Maintain/Update EOM schedules with new/matured activity for Month end Reconciliations
- Trouble shoot & Investigate Daily Break reports
- Input SWIFT payments
- Process Invoices - Custody/clearing fees
- Review, Execute & authorize IRS confirmations
- Process Capital Calls & Dividends for Equities
- Handle SOFOM Activity
- Pledged CD Activity for all US Branches
- Handle Orbian Commercial Paper Activity
- Process TOB Portfolio and Atlas postings required (including FX Fees)

Contributive Responsibilities

- Ensure all answers are provided timely to PAC team upon a cash break
- Ensure all requests from Audit are answered timely and provided with sufficient support
- Ensure all questions from Front Office and Clients are answered timely

- French/ English spoken and written perfectly
- Autonomous
- Problem solver
- Ability to multi task and work in a high pressure environment
- Excellent phone skills to communicate with both Front Office, Middle Office and Clients

  • Nice to have:

- Swift Alliance Knowledge
- Bachelor’s degree with a concentration on Finance
- Understanding of confirmation matching platforms and matched fields

Qualifications & requirements
- 2/5 years of experience in operations
- In depth understanding of accounting events for Securities and Derivatives Products
- Well versed in Excel

This job requires a strong commitment (issues cannot be left unresolved). Hours of coverage are at 9 am and finishes at approximately 6 pm.
