Sales Representative (Account Manager & Product Specialist)

Maximize the sales potential for an assign territory and deliver on the agreed sales targets via promotional activities, new products presentation, planogram space, increase distribution, prospecting new accounts, use of “coop” funds and training to existing and new customers for all of BIO-K + products. Is willing and comfortable to present / train a large audience of health professional such as Pharmacist, Health Nutritionist and in-store Sales Associates.

Key Responsibilities are as follow:

  • Visit, service and maintain existing client base as well as develop new customers with the help of our DSD, broker and distributor network;
  • Obtain ideal product placement in our chilled equipment or those of the customer and provide exposure and awareness for BIO-K products;
  • Offer technical training on BIO-K features and benefits to in-store associates and key decision makers supported by proven clinical and medical research & studies;
  • Plan and execute promotional plan funnel through our Account Manager team for both Drug and Health &Wellness customer;
  • File all required reporting according to company standards within establish deadline and process;
  • Attend some week-end trade shows and demonstrate a positive and professional image for Bio-K+;
  • Communicate “Competitive Intelligence” such as competitors, advertising campaigns, new entrants in the industry to direct report Manager;
  • Ensure proper shelf stock rotation for BIO-K+ product and limit credit expenses with sparing use of car stock and proper ordering pattern for each customer;
  • Assure shipping performance and on time delivery with the assistance of our Customer Service and Transport teams;
  • Maximize territory coverage and traveling time between calls to insure efficiency;
  • Organize and prioritize coverage of top A & B accounts (size of business) and visit each account on a predetermined rotation and as needed;
  • Proactively maintain & nourish product & technical knowledge on BIO K+ products and Probiotic category via sales material, reading, medical studies and trade shows;
  • Actively search out solutions and coaching for all aspects of its work needing improvement;
  • Maintain flawless customer records including contact persons, addresses, phone, fax, e-mail, opening hours, ideal visiting hours and all pertinent additional information;
  • Demonstrate strong teamwork affinities with peers and provide support;
  • Organize product demos according to company policy;
  • Maintain open communication with the Mississauga and Head office and execute other projects and duties that may be assigned;
  • Report any in-store BIO-K equipment damage & mechanical problem to superior.


TANGIBLE CRITERIA (qualifications):

  • University degree in science or business management or equivalent experience;
  • 3 years of pertinent retail sales experience CPG within the Drug and/or Health & Wellness channels;
  • Proficiency with the Microsoft Office software;
  • Spoken and written English is mandatory. French speaking and written is an asset;
  • Maintains a valid driver’s license.
