We serve customers through several premier brands, providing scientific equipment solutions for customer requirements.
BCA Scientific Inc. delivers high-value customer service by working with clients through the sales process, from evaluation of customer requirements and detailing of equipment, to managing deliverables, and after-market sales support.
To be responsible for direct sales of the company’s products in the Toronto Region. In this role, you will:
o Work from your home office, located in Toronto, ON.
o Use the phone, email, canvassing and cold calling to meet and develop relationships with existing or prospective customers.
o Provide technical information as well as price quotations.
o Be designated as the key interface point of contact for the customers.
o Call on prospective and existing customers to promote BCA Scientific Inc’s products.
o Follow-up with customers and prospects to ensure satisfaction and timeliness in response.
o Establish customer pricing within defined ranges and provide price quotations and RFP’s.
o Meet customer requirements (responsive, cost awareness, schedule conscious).
o Assist with diagnosis of equipment problems and perform minor repairs.
o Maintain and continue to develop a superior knowledge of our products and their applications.
o Attend various trade shows and assist in planning and booth staffing.
o Maintain accurate and up to date customer records.
o Provide forecasts, weekly reports, marketing intelligence and information to supervisor and other company personnel as required.
o Achieve forecasted sales goals for the territory while preserving acceptable price levels and avoiding undue risk.
o Manage time and activities to optimize productivity.
o Position, design, prepare and deliver high quality, scientifically-based sales presentations to customers
Minimum Requirements/ Qualifications:
o BSc or MLT with a minimum of three (3) years successful laboratory and/or sales experience.
o Must have common sense and the ability to work with a team of sales professionals.
o Advanced understanding of the healthcare, research, pharmaceutical, biotechnology industry.
o Excellent customer service, negotiation and communication skills – written and verbal. Ability to speak formally and informally to small and large groups.
o Capable of performing basic mathematical calculations; following established guidelines and procedures; detailed record keeping abilities.
o Self-motivated, enthusiastic individual who is results oriented and success driven.
o Knowledge of sales forecasting and planning.
o Excellent organizational and time management skills.
o Excellent problem solving and analytical skills.
o Must be skilled in computer use. Experienced with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
o Work independently from home office, with input from sales management.
o Travel within Toronto is required.
