The B.C. Milk Marketing Board (BCMMB) wishes to fill the following full-time position.

Administrative Quota Support Officer
This position administers the transfer process for buyers and sellers of Continuous Daily Quota (CDQ) and the administration of credit transfers for CDQ. All transactions are checked against current records for compliance to the Consolidated Orders. Relevant information is distributed to all parties including the dairy inspector, banks, sellers and buyers of quota.

This admin position is required to provide producers with general and technical information regarding quota transfers, quota exchanges and transfers of quota via telephone, fax and email. The position requires communication with financial institutions regarding assignment of quota, producer allotted quota where an assignment is in place, and all general enquiries.

Specific primary responsibilities and accountabilities include:

  • Prepare statistical information and distribute to interested parties
  • Receive and process credit transfers on a timely basis and notify producers of outcome
  • Provide written quota information to current and new producers
  • Provide producers with up to date quota and production information as requested
  • Prepare quota letters for producers or banking organizations
  • Verify bank assignments and financial position relative to each purchase transaction
  • Prepare notification documentation to dairy inspector and relevant departments within the organization
  • Provide communication with producers regarding general and technical information regarding quota and credit transfers and production status
  • Provide support to the Quota Officer as required for administration of quota transfers
  • Provide support to the Quota Officer as required in the application of the Quota Exchange

Qualifications required are:

  • Demonstrated proficiency in property conveyance or paralegal work
  • Demonstrated ability to manage financial transactions
  • Advanced software ability in spreadsheet and data base operation; word processing ability
  • Strong organizational, analytical, scheduling, multitasking and problem solving skills
  • Excellent communications and interpersonal skills
  • Team player
