Responsibilities Ensure all SCM activities are carried out to the highest professional and ethical standards in accordance with Bankers Petroleum Ltd. procedures and processes - Guarantee high quality of service is delivered in the areas of procurement, contracts and materials management - Successfully execute all SCM activities - Provide expert advice and leadership to procurement and contracts staff - Identify and implement best practices in the vendor selection and bidding, reviewing and awarding of contracts - Develop and maintain positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders - Ensure compliance with Canadian bid law and SOX requirements - Assessment and mitigation of risk in commercial activities - Develop and implement short- and long-term procurement strategies - Train, mentor and coach
Education/Experience - University degree plus Professional SCM certification - 15+ years of experience within supply chain management - Oil & gas experience (international experience would be preferred) - Proven track record in developing and implementing a successful vision and strategy for contracts, procurement and materials management - Ability to perform effectively in a fast paced, growing organization - Effective communication skills with the ability to influence at a senior level and positively interact with internal and external stakeholders - Ability to influence and implement changes within a growing organization - Solid background in contract development and understanding of contract and bid law - Good negotiation skills
