Due to tremendous growth, our Albanian office is seeking an enthusiastic, experienced Inventory & Materials Specialist to join our dynamic, team orientated workplace. This position would be based in our office and stores yard in the field in Fier, Albania working on a 28/28 rotation

Reporting to the Calgary based Supply Chain Manager; this position is responsible for ensuring the highest levels of inventory accuracy within the centralized store and inventory system. The Inventory & Materials Specialist will work to identify root causes of all inaccuracies and help develop solutions for the causes. This role has the responsibility of providing a safe working environment by following all safety policies and standards, and working safely as not to endanger themselves, co-workers, contractors or customers (internal stakeholders).

Primary Responsibilities

  • Design a new centralized stores yard and consolidate existing yards into one;
  • Coach, monitor and assist a team of stores personnel through set up, product training and continuous execution;
  • Assist Supply Chain Manager in the identification, and implementation of a suitable inventory software;
  • Assist in documenting and educating the company on new Inventory and Materials Management policies and procedures;
  • Identify opportunities for cost reduction and/or process improvement, and barriers for effective performance, informing at the appropriate levels;
  • Establish best practices and implement counts and audits to support cycled reconciliations;
  • Establish and manage internal stakeholder relationships;
  • Analyze utilization activities and trends, create reporting tools

Qualifications & Skills

  • Minimum 10 years inventory and materials management experience in the oil & gas industry;
  • Strong familiarity with oil and gas equipment;
  • Strong familiarity with inventory software systems and practices;
  • Excellent problem solving skills;
  • Ability to work in a highly diversified environment;
  • International and/or remote location experience is desirable;
  • Post-secondary degree in a related discipline is desirable;
  • Any additional Supply Chain experience (procurement, contract management, logistics, etc) is desirable
