Human Resources Manager (Former Employee) – Chelmsford, ON – 3 March 2018
There was a clear divider between management and employees which was a constant struggle to build on trust. Employees worked very hard and management provided monthly bbq's which was an engaging event.

The people you'll meet at B&D are stellar. Kind and fun to work with.
The work is another story. Each and every position is truly overloaded and underpaid.
You have to wait 6 months to get any type of benefits, 1 year before you're allowed to take a vacation day and 2 years before you are eligible for the company pension plan. Not, that it matters because you'll likely be let go LONG before you get to that point.
Turn over is high, they let people go at random with no warning what-so-ever and they over promise and definitely under deliver. Upper management is sorely lacking any type of connection with what's going on within their walls and are very much micro-managers who don't trust their department managers to do their jobs.
All in all, the work morale is the lowest I've ever seen at any job I've ever had and while the people are nice, they very much have an attitude of "I'm just here to make a paycheck for as long as I can".
