Position Description: Research Coordinator
Location: Calgary
Reports To: Petar Hrkac

II. Position Purpose

Avison Young is currently seeking an individual to fill our Research Coordinator role; we are looking for someone who is reliable, timely and Professional. This position entails working with a diverse group of people at all levels in the organization. The successful candidate will need to be able to use proper judgment in planning and prioritizing the workload.

III. Responsibilities

  • Title searches
  • Taxation & Assessment
  • Ensure Maps are current
  • Statistical, Demographic, Socioeconomic data & info specific to districts or parcels of land
  • Monitoring newspapers and distributing economic & real estate-related articles to office
  • Leasing & Investment market data
  • Track leasing transactions (recent rental rates, etc)
  • Keeping track on existing or proposed developments
  • Finding and distributing news articles related to economy and real estate to the office
  • Providing support to the research manager

IV. Qualification’s

  • Post-secondary education completed
  • Proficient in MS Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Adobe
  • Excellent Verbal and written communication skills
  • Good time management and organizational skills
  • Must be able to easily adapt and prioritize
  • Must be proactive and take initiative
  • Must be detail oriented
