A typical day 95%) for myself was spent scheduling appointments for Dir., Continuing Care as well as arranging meetings, taking and transcribing minutes, and distributing same. Travelled to other health institutions and head office to attend at meetings. Management staff in most cases were quite agreeable and just a few not so much. Had a wonderful working relationship with peers (other administrative assistants) and we always helped each other when the others workload was overwhelming.
The hardest part of the job was keeping supervisor on track as she had a tendency of panicking at the least little thing. I was able to calm her down and fix problem.
The most enjoyable part of the job was working with co-workers.
