Real Estate Law Clerk

Our client, a well-established, boutique full service Law Firm located in Downtown Toronto East is currently seeking a Real Estate Law Clerk to join their team.

The Successful candidate will have the following skills and qualifications:

2 – 3 years of solid real estate experience in a law firm
Residential real estate experience a must, commercial a bonus
Law Clerk Designation
Experience working in a fast paced environment opening and closing files independently
Sound technical knowledge of real estate law, industry practices, and thorough understanding of the mechanics behind real estate transactions
Astute knowledge of real estate documentation
Proficiency in the use of Teraview, Conveyencer, Microsoft Office 2010 products, and PC Law
Meticulously detail oriented
Strong organizational skills to prioritize and manage multiple projects, including follow-up, in a fast paced environment
Excellent communications skills and diplomacy to liaise with staff, external service providers and clients
Ability to work independently, at the same time building and maintaining positive working relationships in a team-based environment

Fluency in Hindi/Urdu considered an asset

Responsibilities

Conduct title searches, perform title analysis and review title opinions
Prepare reporting letters, statement of accounts and reports title
Provide administrative support for Attorneys and/or Law Clerks where necessary
Administrative duties as required including updating databases, schedule management, filing, photocopying, faxing, etc.

Compensation

  • Up to $40,000 /yr
