Avery HR is seeking on behalf of their well respected client in the Mississauga area, a Marketing Assistant to join their team.

Reporting to the VP of Marketing the Marketing Assistant will be responsible for the following:

Job Responsibilities:

Assist with development of new products, product design, project costing, and coordinating the efforts of other departments to support cross-functional collaboration.

Work with vendors through the product development cycle to ensure concept to execution targets are met

Organize and maintain reference files of a wide range of product categories

Gathering and distributing various product related materials such as agreements, substantiations, product images etc.

Review product documentation and ensure complete accuracy of product information

Generating product samples and mockups of new products in development

Review, test and comment on products in development

Provide support and manage the timely delivery of essential documentation necessary for product development

Work closely with graphic designers to ensure they have the necessary information to develop marketing materials for new products

Work with sales team to ensure they have the necessary product info and competitive knowledge to represent company’s products effectively

Support day to day inquires

Generate spreadsheets and reports,

Analyze data

Write presentations and help with copy for collateral materials… .

Skills and Knowledge:

Ideal candidates must have a demonstrated ability in a supportive role for executive level.
Exposure to working in a Marketing environment and offer a minimum of 5 years experience working in a Support capacity.
Have a logical approach to problem solving through the use of strong technical skills and project/time management. Strong analytical skills. Monitoring, tracking and evaluating results for product marketing initiatives.

Gathering, analyzing and assessing various reports. Demonstrated ability to influence the decisions and opinions of others without direct authority. Strong project coordination and planning skills .

Excellent writing skills (to help with presentations and copies for the various collateral materials).

Excellent interpersonal skills to build and develop relationships.

Demonstrated teamwork and initiative.

Advanced user with MS Office. Strong with Powerpoint skills and V Look ups and Pivot tables|).
