Account Executive (Former Employee) – Jersey City, NJ – 5 July 2017
Start-up environment fast-paced, and deadline oriented. Change is constant throughout the organization, including commission and benefits. Would only recommend to those who are seeking to further their career in the short-term.
Account Specialist Intern (Former Employee) – Chicago, IL – 15 January 2018
As an intern, the experience I gained here along with the connections that I made were very beneficial. Great work environment and great people. Everyone is willing to help and I was offered a full time position at the end of the internship.
Project Manager (Former Employee) – Jersey City, NJ – 17 August 2017
The coworkers were the best part of the company. Beware of the Senior C-tier Architects, they secretly RUN everything. The Engineer team is AWESOME. You can learn a lot from the staff. I dont regret my time there at all.
pingpong, HR fun activities, if you last very likely you will be promoted
Great chance HR will mess up your finanical paper work. HUGE change
Technical Analyst (Current Employee) – Jersey City, NJ – 2 January 2017
Overall the company as whole is great. Great Culture, co-workers are helpful. Every day is a new challenge being brought up which help you learn how to troubleshoot effectively. To succeed you must continually learn AvePoint products as this will make dealing with these challenges a lot easier. Multitasking and great organizational skills go a long way in how you perform. You deal with external customers on a daily basis so you will encounter your typical rude individual that you must assist so patience is important as well. Many of these customers will have deadlines(sometimes unrealistic ones) which will add pressure to your job. You are rewarded monthly bonus based on your job performance which is nice.Things i dislike is the micro management found in the company, a lot of favoritism and pay is a little low for the work done.
Talent Acquisition Specialist (Current Employee) – jersey city – 13 August 2015
great advancement opportunity but should not be considered long term. Management is very young and will only advance you if you are in "the in crowd". good place to gain experience and then advance to another more established organization. Your job will always be in jeopardy unless you are friends with upper management.
marketing (Former Employee) – jersey city – 24 October 2013
High turnover rate. Worked there for 6 months and have seen too many people "let go". Very good at selling the dream but once your there they will get rid of you at a moments notice. Learned a lot in my 6months so it would be a good entry level company.
sales (Current Employee) – Jersey City, NJ – 1 June 2013
A typical day requires a lot of self training (not self-paced). It is enforced but not a lot of material or aid is given. The hardest part is dealing with micro management as well dealing with "being in the dark", so to speak.
Technical Analyst (Former Employee) – Jersey City, NJ – 3 May 2013
This job should be either taken as a job fresh out of college or if you simply cannot find employment anywhere else. If you are fresh out of college, you are the prime target for their recruitment because they can then overwork you and underpay you for your efforts. Just ask any current employee in the Technical Analyst team, and you will find this to be the case. You will be told that you will be working in shifts, but will never leave on time. Don't expect to be paid for your overtime either.
The pay is below market and the culture is the opposite of anything that is progressive. If you want flexibility somewhere, you will not find it here. Don't try to input your own ideas, it's not welcome here by management. On top of that, prepare for micromanagement.
Surprisingly, for a miserable culture, my colleagues were great people to work with. I just hope they are all smart enough to know to leave when the opportunity arises. The market is bad, but it isn't that bad to toil your life away at this company.
I was able to get out
As a fellow colleague states, overworked, underpaid and under respected.
Stay Away - High turnover rate, clueless management, miserable culture
Account Representative - Senior Sales (Former Employee) – Jersey City, NJ – 9 April 2013
If you are one minute late your boss will be calling/texting you to find out where you are. Sales execs are hired at minimal wages and most people leave within their first year. On monthly sales reports and achievements execs names are often spelled incorrectly just adding to the insult of working there. Stay away!
i don't work there anymore
being trapped in an office space type culture where everyone is miserable and watches the clock
Good place to gain experience in IT and launch your career
Account Executive - Healthcare Vertical (Current Employee) – United States – 8 August 2012
Rapidly growing company with many changes taking place at all times. Intelligent and hard working colleagues. Good amount of autonomy. Most enjoyable part of work was bonding with colleagues however the extremely high turnover rate took away from this.
rapidly growing company, excellent product
excessively high turnover rate, lack of employee development, management practices
Account Executive (Former Employee) – Jersey City, NJ – 19 April 2012
Company offers plenty of perks and is a descent place to again experience for young workers, however the pay is very low for the region. While the company offers many perks most employees see the company as a stepping stone to other companies and the turn-over rate is high.
interactive hr department, team building programs, decent education of product
