Take the job as a last resort!

This job should be either taken as a job fresh out of college or if you simply cannot find employment anywhere else. If you are fresh out of college, you are the prime target for their recruitment because they can then overwork you and underpay you for your efforts. Just ask any current employee in the Technical Analyst team, and you will find this to be the case. You will be told that you will be working in shifts, but will never leave on time. Don't expect to be paid for your overtime either.
The pay is below market and the culture is the opposite of anything that is progressive. If you want flexibility somewhere, you will not find it here. Don't try to input your own ideas, it's not welcome here by management. On top of that, prepare for micromanagement.
Surprisingly, for a miserable culture, my colleagues were great people to work with. I just hope they are all smart enough to know to leave when the opportunity arises. The market is bad, but it isn't that bad to toil your life away at this company.
