AVENUE ROAD is currently seeking a LOGISTICS & SUPPLY CHAIN MANAGER reporting
to the President. The ideal candidate for this role will be a logistics leader with strong experience in both product transportation as well as warehousing. Equally important, the candidate will work strategically with senior
executives to implement new technologies and automation strategies that will positively impact company efficiency
and profitability.

o Manage the storage and movement of goods between vendors, warehouses and customers
o Coordinates shipping process with vendors and client, provide freight quotations
o Negotiate contract business terms and conditions, continually review, evaluate and analyze supplier accounts
o Maintain and improve purchasing, receiving, shipping and inventory management processes
o Reviewing and creating purchase orders and other transactions on our SAP software
o Help with daily planning and scheduling customer deliveries
o To supervise all Logistics staff (as assigned) with respect to recruiting, attendance management, health & safety, coaching, progressive discipline, continuous improvement, employee relations, performance management, training and development, and delegation of specific responsibilities.
o To continually contribute to the profitability of the company and ongoing business operations by initiating, recommending and implementing continuous improvement strategies and initiatives.
o Develop and manage the logistics operations
o Work with finance to manage vendor invoices, savings and performance metrics, and government filings such as duty drawback
o The responsibilities associated with this job will change from time to time in accordance with the Company’s business needs. More specifically, the incumbent may be required to perform additional and/or different responsibilities from those set forth above.
o Post secondary education focused on supply chain management, logistics or engineering
o Minimum 5 – 7 years’ experience supporting a supply chain team
o Strong background in International and Domestic shipping in both Air and Ocean
o Strong team player, able to work in a fast paced dynamic environment
o Outstanding analytical and data manipulation skills
o Comprehensive knowledge of Windows, Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint
o Strong written and verbal communication skills
o Experience with inventory database, ERP software preferably SAP
