The most unprofessional place ever to work.
CYW (Current Employee), Guelph, OntarioMay 24, 2014
Pros: the residents are really great kids
Cons: everything else. pay is only once a month
Worst company ever. Management is so unprofessional, have no boundaries. Out drinking with other staff and well everyone sleeps with everyone here. You cannot advance in this company unless management likes you. Seniority means nothing. Love telling frontline staff that they are replaceable. They programs offered are a total joke. This company doesn't – more... care about it's staff or it's residents it only cares about the almighty dollar. NEVER be so desperate that you would have to work here. – less

Cons: hardly get a break but it is still taken out of your paycheck
In my experience, management doesn't seem to care about the employees or their residents. We are constantly running out of supplies and being short staffed when there is more than enough money in the budget.

Very sociable environment
Care worker (Former Employee), Harrogate, ENGDecember 30, 2013
Pros: holidays away with clients are paid.
Cons: lack of staff doing work on a one to one basis.
A typical day would involve supporting clients to get washed and dressed, preparing for further duties that included the support of managing their money whilst out shopping, participating in their chosen activities to promote their physical, social, emotional and mental well being.

Brand new approach to health care, promotes independance
STNA (Former Employee), Maineville OHDecember 12, 2013
Pros: free lunches, great clean work place.
Cons: not enough staff not very good pay
Great environment, great people, lovely houses for the elders. Promotes elders to use and keep their independence and not just lose it. Had great employees and management. Not enough staff, and still had a lot of "bugs" that needed to be worked out with the new approach they were bringing to health care.

Excellent School, Hard Work
Music and Movement Teacher (Current Employee), Chicago, ILSeptember 11, 2013
Pros: great benefits package! great student discipline policies, excellent curriculum, student focused and highly goal oriented
Cons: lack of respect from admin, teacher "behaviors corrected in front of students
This is a great school for new teachers. They provide new teachers with the specific structure and management techniques that often go missing from the Ed Degree programs. However, older teachers may become a little frustrated with the lack of creativity and the strict structure. Lesson plans are provided and very little "wiggle" room is left for creativity – more... and "fun". – less

Teaching Kids English as second language
English Teacher (Former Employee), Seoul, South KoreaAugust 27, 2013
I taught students from English textbooks. Speaking one day, writing the next, listening the other, and reading in another day. The hardest part was dealing with the noise of kids. The most enjoyable part of the job was being a part of students' lives.

Leisure Centre
leisure assistant (Former Employee), FromeMay 24, 2013
Cons: long hours
My day was starting of cleaning duties working of a sheet where they were listed .in the duty managers office,. after when they all have been completed for the certain time, my job was to lifeguard on poolsite for 15 min 1 roatation on each station overall 45 min-eachtime when i was off poolsite my job was to go back to cleaning sheet doing extra jobs – more... or the jobs i was asked to do by one of my managers. Then, when a jobs have been completed, been helping at reception, cashing , serving people doing showrounds for customers which were intrusted in our leisure an memberships, and doing little jobs for a receptionist.. My favourite part of the job was working with people, meeting new people ,communicating helping each other and working as a team an individual and coaching games. The hardest part of the job was life saving, taking care of all bathers in the pool under your supervision and big pressure , must concentrate all the time and safe when is needed. Working there I, gain a lot of confidence with myself and poeple able to deal with stressfull and hard situations Im willing to learn even If is something what i havent experienced . There . is better something than nothing never late to learn, like giving myself a challange never give up even if is not going well always keep my head up and move forward. – less

Great Learning Experience
Event Coordinator (Former Employee), New York, NYDecember 13, 2012
Pros: challenging, event production
Cons: office dynamics
I pitched contacts in fashion, athletics, and entertainment for potential promotional events. I learned how to fit a product to a brand. Management was supportive. My co-workers were undermining. The hardest part of my job was dealing with the various personalities present in nightlife. The most enjoyable part of my job was event production, especially – more... for up-and-coming fashion designers. – less

Cons: could be dangerous at times, low pay, work weekend nights

Great place to work
CNA (Current Employee), Flint, MIOctober 26, 2012
Typical day at work is always something new. There is never a repeat at my job. I learn so many different thing from working with this company. The one thing that stick out the most from that I learned is that I can get attached to a person that I have known for a short period of time. My co-workers are GREAT people to be around. The hardest part of – more... my job would have to be leaving out those doors from work. The most enjoyable part of my job I would have to say, is seeing a smile on the face of my patients! – less

Patient Care Provider (Former Employee), Fort Worth, TXSeptember 14, 2012
A typical day at work was consistently moving and on your feet for the twelve hour shift. Management was poorly run. Co-workers were helpful in learning their system. I enjoyed getting to help the same patients everyday. They were not flexible with my school schedule so I had to quit.

Great, friendly and productive work environment
Head Teacher (Former Employee), Busan, South KoreaAugust 16, 2012
Pros: atmosphere, co-workers, location
Cons: no free coffee sometimes.
There are very few negative aspects of working in Avalon Haeundae. First of all it boasts a great location right near Haeundae Beach in Busan. The culture, although typically diligent and demanding, also emphasizes friendliness and comradery. The management had a less controlling approach to dealing with employees. As a head teacher I was able to go – more... to meetings with the management and achieve reasonable goals that were executed fluidly throughout the semesters. Not surprisingly this kind of atmosphere was conducive to the educational purposes of the campus and the campus itself proved to be one of the successful one of the company. – less

Good place to work, provided space to work and time to do work in, nice people, a lot of work and challenging but well worth it.
