Decent Company to Work For
Facilities Assistant (Current Employee) –  Vancouver, BCJune 9, 2016
Many great people work there making daily work very enjoyable. Follows the up and down trend of Engineering with hiring and layoffs. No raises given for consecutive years.
The company does an overall great job of keeping staff moral with biweekly donut sessions and monthly pub nights paid for.
Pros
Coworkers are great people

Cycles through staff

Business Development / Marketing Department (Current Employee) –  Vancouver, BCNovember 24, 2015
This company does not care about it's employees!
Since being brought on the company has fired half it's workforce. Unless the firing is in mass they put employees on "working notice" so they do not have to pay out severance.
The more they fire the more they expect others to take on even though they are already stretched to the max.
As a project engineer you have to meet a minimum of 90-93% reimbursable - leaving you only 1.6hrs a week to answer emails or do your timesheet.
The accounting software is a joke and bills are not getting paid (some take over a year to get paid!). The accounting team is understaffed.
The BD Director was let go and never replaced leaving the team without a leader and with no clear direction and the wrong people in charge. The work - if there is any - demands can be unreal and you are expected to be reachable at any time.
There is no mentorship - you either sink or swim when you start - and no room for growth. Everyday you hear someone is being put on working notice.
The company can't win local work because it has cut so much of it's staff. The company is commodities based regardless of the falling commodities market.
DO NOT WORK HERE!!!!!
Pros
Nice team members
Cons
High turn-over, overworked employees, depressing work environment, management hides in their offices, lack of communication, no clear goals or visions for the company, everyone works for individual growth and will stab you in the back if you are not careful, lack of HR policies, unskilled and unqualified people in management roles

Ausenco Calgary and Halifax offices count with very professional people who not only allow you to learn from daily technical interactions, but also are very open to new work ways.
Pros
The diversity of people you get to work with
Cons
Dependency on continuous flow of projects, not allowing to focus on own areas of improvement.

You're only full time if there's a project budget for your hours
Full-time salaried employee - HAH! (Former Employee) –  Calgary, ABJune 18, 2015
great flexible hours if you have a budget for your work,
Co-workers are wonderful there but staff turnover is high,
Some of the managers are great to work with, but there are some managers that should not be in their positions,
Company spokesperson during coffee talk meetings is an unrealistic visionary and needs to get "real",
Pros
Flexible work hours
Cons
Poor morale within company, You're only needed if there's sufficient project budget for your hours, Company spokesperson has great visions for future work but is unrealistic

My co-workers are helpful, they help each other when needed.
Pros
Every alternative Friday we get day off.

Good pay, poor management
Professional Engineer (Former Employee) –  Vancouver, BCFebruary 18, 2014
Little to no culture beside safety is all we do slogan. Policies for paper, but rarely for practice. Poor management. High workload and get it done it by yesterday projects with poor planning. When stock price falls and customers are nowhere, upper management plans acquisitions. No job security. Hire-fire staff management. No advancement. No staff meetings and no performance reviews. Avoid if you can.
Pros
Good pay and location
Cons
Poor management
