Favoritism
CSR - Customer Service Representative (Former Employee) –  Kitchener-Waterloo, ON16 December 2017
Management doesn't know what they're doing. Giving us extra work, while not increasing our pay.

Additionally, management has their own favourites that they will push upwards as much as they can, until they reach their desired position while others that work just as hard, or even more get no credit whatsoever.

Use this company as a stepping stone if you can, else they will use YOU as one, and dump you somewhere in the back, no matter how hard you try, if management doesn't like you, you're not going to go up.

Terrible experience with Arvato.
Pros
There used to be pizza every week, not anymore
Cons
Management is terrible. Pay is even worse considering the amount of work we have to do

too much pressure not enough pay
Customer Service Representative (Current Employee) –  Waterloo, ON6 December 2017
Training took very long and pay was too low for the on demand pressure requested.
Also people were getting fired for reasons that did not seam reasonable and that created a fear of loss that didn't sit well with me.

Great place if you like to talk!
Customer Service Representative (Former Employee) –  Kitchener-Waterloo, ON18 October 2017
Not my favorite place to work unfortunately. Training provided was 3 weeks but their were an unlimted amount of circumstances you could run into while talking to customers. When you tried to find a resolution for the customer but needed assistance...team leads were either unavailable or didnt know how to answer you question which made it difficult to help the customer!

Nothing out of the ordinary
Customer Service Representative (Current Employee) –  Kitchener, ON3 October 2017
It's a typical call center. Some campaigns are better than others. You're experience depends on the campaign you are a part of. Some campaigns seem more relaxed, and some of them can be more stressful.
Pros
Free lunch if your working on a statutory holiday.
Cons
Having to work statutory holidays

Customer Service Representative (Former Employee) –  Kitchener, ON6 September 2017
A lot of your experience with Arvato will depend on which line of business you are hired on to. If you are hired on to Ally, use it as a step to get another job as the management structure is reminiscent of a high school club rather than a professional place of business. I have heard other departments are better but have no direct experience.
Pros
It's a job.
Cons
The management plays favourites which works well if you are a favourite.

lots of people don't stay there long because of working conditions
Ally Bank (Former Employee) –  Kitchener, ON31 August 2017
While I enjoyed my job assisting customers with their banking needs
and customers said they found me knowledgeable and able to assist them it was Arvato employees who made the job difficult and unwilling to work with employees to lessen a stressful environment for simple needs. Did not find the job difficult. My first supervisor and I had no difficulties and quality coaches gave me 95-100 scores. Enjoyed helping customers
Pros
paycheck is all it offers in the way of pros
Cons
shift bids, personal gratification, astringent policies/procedures

Great Place
Customer Service Representative (Former Employee) –  Waterloo, ON28 August 2017
a typical day at work is great. get in swipe when you need to be on the floor, work, 15 minute break, work, swipe out for lunch, then have to swipe back in to work, work, 15 minute break, work then go home.
learned how to be very patient with customers who are very irate
the management are great, they really do have your back if you have theirs, they try their hardest to be personable with you,
the work place culture is really great and awesome, one would always feel that they belong, of course with every company there will be cliche but this company tries rally hard not to have any.
the hardest part of the day is when you are working and getting yelled at by customers for entering something wrong.
the most enjoyable part is being able to converse with co workers about the type of customers/calls they gotten
Pros
specific days there are free cookies, parfaits etc
Cons
long ridiculous hours

When I worked there they were eager to teach you many different jobs so that you were able to help other divisions. I have been gone for many years. It was fun learning how to take a phone apart and putting it back again.
Pros
special lunches were given

Interesting Position With Intensive Training In Virtual Assistance.
Customer Service Agent (Former Employee) –  Kitchener, ON19 June 2017
A usual day consisted of 'logging-in' at the beginning of your shift and then answering Client calls or responding via chat and writing summary notes concerning the calls.
I learned a lot about client services and virtual systems, virtual banks, and call based computer systems.
The management was upbeat and very helpful.
The workplace culture was sometimes very enthusiastic and extremely helpful, assisting greatly in the solving of service issues and unexpected situations.
There was extensive training involved in some positions and keeping this database in mind correctly during the stress of a difficult client call was perhaps one of the more trying parts of this job.
The varied clientele and unpredictability of the kinds of service you could be asked to provide kept the job interesting.
Pros
Very intensive and thorough virtual systems training.
Cons
Rotating hours, no pension, no parking.
