relaxing atomesphere
English/Portuguese Customer Service (Former Employee), Scarbourgh ON – March 29, 2013
Pros: every friday we had something to look forward to, like free lunches, dress down day, and other fun events like company bbq's
Cons: shift hours
Typical day at work would be dealing with customer complaints and resolving them in a profissional manner. Co-workers were great we all worked together as a team. The hardest part of the job was the changing schedule. Really enjoyed helping customers and the office enviroment was very enjoyable. I learned how to work under pressure and handle many tasks – more... with ease. – less

Experienced Professionals Stay Far, Far Away
Senior Transaction Specialist (Current Employee), Dublin, Sandyford – June 4, 2013
Pros: friendly colleagues, casual clothing and subsidised lunch (courtesy microsoft)
Cons: incompetence, low pay raises, low bonues, long working hours
Arvato Services Ireland (Sandyford, Dublin) is not a company that I would recommend to most people. Career paths are barely visible, upper management is clueless, offices are packed and pay raises and bonuses basically do not exist.

I currently work at Arvato and the only words that I have to describe most of the people working here is "Peter Principle". – more... I have never been in a place where there are such a high number of incompetent employees. Half of the management have no idea how to manage their employees and a lot of employees do not pull their weight due to the conditions they are subject to (i.e. no pay raise/bonus = no hard work). One good example about the level of incompetence is that just recently a person was hired and the interviewer failed to take notice (I don’t know how) that this person could hardly speak English...!!

I would, however, recommend Arvato to people who cannot find a job elsewhere or to people who have just finished school and need some experience. Arvato is a good starting point for experience but you should consider moving on to another company that has a better career path. – less

The most unprofessional company I have ever worked for
Supply Chain (Current Employee), UK – November 29, 2012
Pros: its a job
Cons: too many to list
Who knows what we are supposed to do - we make it up as we go along - there is no training, communication, support or processes in place and the work loads are unrealistic

Most of our days are spent updating numerous different systems with the same information as they are no interfaces and then filling in spreadsheets with the same information again – more... to update the managers as to work we haven't been able to do as too busy updating things......

I have learnt a lot about excel but this was from need and excellent colleagues not from the company

Management style is mushroom and on a shoe string budget. Everything is "confidential" or is changed so often that you are left with no faith in what they do decide to tell you as will usually change within hours. Team leaders and managers are left to bully staff and promises are always broken. Each team instead of working together to achieve goals are encouraged to blame each other and pass work off onto the other teams

No pay rises, benefits, rewards or praise are required as it is your job to succeed !

This is not the worst place to work when comparing to some sales based call centres but it is definately the most ridiculous

The most enjoyable part of this job are my colleagues and when I can finally leave – less

Very Productive
Package Handler (Current Employee), Kenosha, WI – November 12, 2012
Pros: people dont steal your food, you meet new people and friends.
Cons: standing on feet too long, breaks are too long apart
When you get there, you are basicaly on the same line you are on everytime you work, unless told differnely. You learn alot when you are there. You learn how to fold boxes, unfold them. I learned how to put the sleves on dvds. I learned how to pack boxes and how to pack a dispalay box. My co-workers are very freindly. If anything goes wrong, the are – more... right there helping me. If they see that i need help and they have nothing to do at the moment, they will come and give me a hand. The hardest part of the job is having to stand on your feet all the time! but other then that , everything else everything is very enjoyable. – less

Challenging and rewarding career
Customer Service Transactional Specialist (Current Employee), Microsoft in Sandyford Dublin 18 – October 11, 2012
Pros: being part of a fantastic team in a fantastic work atmosphere
Cons: working through christmas and new year's eve
Logging of new contracts on Microsoft CR Dynamics with a view to validating its adherence to MS compliance policies. Approving or invalidating the documents for processing or rejecting of the documents. Liaising with my team's co-workers for further information on type of deals and with Microsoft subsidiaries all over Europe, Africa and Middle East – more... as well as Microsoft Channel Partners with a view to acquiring all the necessary paper work and high level approval
to process the deal. Long hours and working weekends and bank holidays is a must for this role. – less

i like this place it was fun
Processor (Former Employee), Duncan, SC – August 20, 2012
Pros: lunch, smoke area
Cons: lead, supervisor
The day started out by sitting at the computer and typing in the kodak products such as cameras, printers and picture frames. They would get sent back to the company because either they was broken or just not working at alll. I like the people i worked with except the lead woman she made me mad and made some people even cry at most times. The hardest – more... part was dealing with the lead and the supervisor because they was friends and if something went wrong they would not do anything about it which i hated. i did like my co- workers – less

Productive assembly line
Assembly Operator (Former Employee), Duncan, SC – August 15, 2012
Pros: great co workers, easy job
Cons: short breaks, standing in one spot for long
I clock in then go to my department. We work on an assembly line so we rotate spots all day. i learned a lot bout the material i was packing(to be sold)for stores. i also learned what happens when people return items back to the store. I enjoyed working the all management and co workers. The hardest part of the job was standing in one spot for a long – more... time. The best part was always having something to do so u dont get bord and learning new stuff everyday. – less

Unprofesional
Order line (Former Employee), Bon Prix – August 15, 2012
Cons: unprofesional, lack of interest from managers, awfull hours, awfull environment to work.
Lack of training, made to deal with customer complaints when only being trained to take orders. not being given more training when needed. no help from line managers. no flexability with hours even when important matters had to be attended. Lack of proper equipment, like unbroken headsets, chairs. keyboards and phones.

Pros: long breaks
Cons: slow on work and not enough work
Wow this job was ok. I learned good leadership. Management was ok. My co-workers were very helpful and we always worked as a team. The hardest part about about this job would be when they need more parts out. The most enjoyable thing about this job you get to work with your co-workers alot.

Great People
Team Senior (Former Employee), London – July 11, 2012
Pros: free fruit every wednesday
Cons: limited transport to get to office
Typical day at work was usually very busy, full of challenges, however we manage to have fun together.
I've learnt a lot, mostly crisis management and lots of IT related queries.
I was very lucky to work with professional management with high work ethic. I learnt a lot from them.
My co-workers were the most amazing people I've ever work with. Professional, – more... reliable, trustworthy but also fun with great sens of humor.
Job itself wasn't hard. There is room for improvement in facilities and IT equipment.
The most enjoyable part of the job was definitely my co-workers and role itself. – less

Would not reccomend anyone for employment with this company
Customer Service Specialist (Current Employee), Duncan, SC – May 21, 2012
Pros: good work hours, most weekends off
Cons: reduced work hours, no raises, no incentives, lack of appreciation from management
My typical day at work consists of updating reports , and maintaining and managinging backorder reports to ensure SLA's are met for specific clients.

I have learned that teamwork and proper training is imperative in an atmosphere such as my own to ensure excellent customer care.

Upper level management are not in touch with their employees touughts – more... or concerns reguarding the success of the company.

I enjoy working with my co-workers

The hardest part of my job is having to depend on others from different departments to do their jobs in a timley manner so that I can complete mine.

I really enjoy my job duties. I also enjoy the atmosohere around me. I work in a fairly non- stressful enviornment. – less
