Our Scarborough based manufacturing company is looking for an Office Assistant on a contract basis.

Renewal or movement to permanent are possible for a successful applicant who exceeds expectations during their time with us.

There will be two aspects to the position:
1. Administrative Assistant

  • Serve as the primary receptionist (answering and directing incoming calls and greeting, directing, and assisting visitors)
  • Order, stock, maintain and distribute office supplies
  • Receive, sort and distribute incoming packages and mail
  • Maintain office filing and storage systems
  • Maintaining general office tidiness
  • Coordinate and organize meetings and appointments

2. Current Account Management

  • Receive and process phone/fax/email orders and customer service requests
  • Prepare and send order acknowledgments to customers
  • Maintain and update customer information

Full time, contract position, with possibility of renewal and/or permanent hire.
Hours: Mon-Thurs 8:30-5:30, Fri 8:30-2:30
Hourly wage: $14.00/hr (wage will be re-evaluated if contract renewed)
