Our Scarborough based manufacturing company is looking for an Office Assistant on a contract basis.
Renewal or movement to permanent are possible for a successful applicant who exceeds expectations during their time with us.
There will be two aspects to the position:
1. Administrative Assistant
- Serve as the primary receptionist (answering and directing incoming calls and greeting, directing, and assisting visitors)
- Order, stock, maintain and distribute office supplies
- Receive, sort and distribute incoming packages and mail
- Maintain office filing and storage systems
- Maintaining general office tidiness
- Coordinate and organize meetings and appointments
2. Current Account Management
- Receive and process phone/fax/email orders and customer service requests
- Prepare and send order acknowledgments to customers
- Maintain and update customer information
Full time, contract position, with possibility of renewal and/or permanent hire.
Hours: Mon-Thurs 8:30-5:30, Fri 8:30-2:30
Hourly wage: $14.00/hr (wage will be re-evaluated if contract renewed)
