Visually inspects all equipment, personal protection equipment for faulty equipment, worn out parts, and immediately reports his findings to Lead Hand or Supervisor.
Rubs edges and filling air holes on finished precast.
Cuts and places insulation, pulls cables
Performs housekeeping duties as assigned.
Cleans and plugs inserts and hardware
Placement of standard materials related to product, such as: insulation, erection hooks, etc.
Periodic use of poker vibrator and spreading concrete.
Rakes, shovels concrete on forms
Assist and follow direction of vibration machine operator, such as: dump, rake, shovel concrete in front of top/bottom vibration machine.
Assist finishers by moving and dumping excess concrete.
Helps the Vibration Machine Operator with changing the roller.
Clean settling trenches
Performs power washing for exposed panels
Help with cement wash returns
Cuts rebar and/or cables (no lay-out, no marking) all under specific direction.
Tie reinforcing: rebar to rebar, rebar to mesh, mesh to mesh. (tie only, no lay-out, no marking) all under specific direction.
Carry reinforcing bars to designated area(s).
Nailing/Fastening bulkheads and side forms. Set-up Dept./not layout, not marking, all under specific direction.
Opens/closes side forms
Any general laborer (new or from bumping) should learn the basic hand signals.
Completion of high school
Experience an asset
