We are currently recruiting Temporary/Seasonal Labourer positions for Water Distribution and Wastewater Collection Department. This job is for physically active people who get a great deal of satisfaction from doing the job right every time. Highly motivated, independent workers will enjoy the opportunity to work with small crews to accomplish big things and to support Aquatera’s culture of continuous improvement. You’ll work four 10 hour days per week in the summer months, giving you lots of long weekends for your favorite recreational activities. We even have extended health benefits available for returning seasonal employees. There is even a possibility that the position could turn into full-time employment depending on staffing requirements.
This important work involves:
- Excavation of water and wastewater infrastructure
- Line flushing
- Valve exercising and painting
Qualifications for Consideration:
- Must be able to operate power and electronic equipment
- Must be able to perform physically demanding duties and work safely at all times
- Must possess Class 3 driver’s license with Air Endorsement
Qualifications that would be considered an asset:
- Backhoe experience excavating around other utilities
- Safety tickets
Safety footwear is required and smoking restrictions are in effect.
Travel to remote areas may be required.
Pay rate is in accordance with the current C.U.P.E. Collective Agreement.
