The Medical Assistant has two primary objectives:
1. Treat the patient compassionately and professionally
2. Save the doctor time through the delivery of exceptional customer service to our clients and patients, a passion for cleanliness and performance, and ongoing learning, training and development.

The Medical Assistant will be fully trained on and responsible for the following:
- Proper preparation of the Patient, through level 1 triage, appropriate application of scripts, scenarios and clinical skills, and the usage of EMR - Ensuring Consistent Inventory, through daily stocking of exam rooms
- Ensuring a Clean and Quiet Environment by cleaning/sanitizing exam rooms, common spaces, foyers, bathrooms
- Proper opening and/or closing of the Centre with the Opening/Closing checklist
- Assistance and registration of patients, invoicing and collecting payments
- Record and document management
- And other duties as required

- One to two years of post-secondary education (Education in a life sciences/health sciences program is an asset) or equivalent experience
- Six months to one year of experience in a customer service environment (e.g., retail or hospitality) is an asset
- Exceptional customer service skills
- Professional, enthusiastic, positive, respectful
- Committed, reliable, flexible
- Passionate about personal learning, training and ongoing development
- Very good communication skills in English (spoken, written, reading); other languages an asset
