  • Full responsibility for the preparation of monthly financial statements and month end working papers
  • Work with other members of senior management to prepare the annual strategic plan, financial forecasts and annual operating budget
  • Act as an internal resource by providing historical financial information and preparing financial analyses to evaluate opportunities and identify areas for operational improvement
  • Identify and implement process improvements in the accounting and finance functions
  • Work with other members of senior management on capital raising activities
  • Review and assist in the preparation of corporate taxes and related tax compliance filings
  • Overall responsibility for treasury function, including liaising with bank
  • Work with other members of senior management to implement a new enterprise resource planning system and integrated accounting system


  • 4+ years of full cycle accounting experience, including preparation of month end and year end working papers and reconciliations
  • University degree in business, finance or accounting, supplemented with completion or substantial progress towards completion of an accounting designation (CGA, CMA or CA)
  • Excellent organization and communication skills
  • Supervisory experience
  • Hands-on entrepreneurial style with a strong desire for action and results; the ability to work effectively in a highly collaborative and flat organization
