Apex Aluminum Extrusions is looking for an experienced Welder (Fabricator) to join our team in a full-time capacity. We are a state-of-the-art aluminum extrusions facility located in Langley, BC, supplying extruded aluminum products to the architectural, marine, electrical and transportation industry. Specific Responsibilities:
Non-structural welding, including racks, mounts, pipe, brackets, and machinery assembly
Setting up jigs for fabricating racks to high tolerances
Square up and weld various geometric components
Fabricate items based on blue prints, using strong knowledge of various weld form symbols
Meets deadlines and objectives in a timely manner
Maintain daily records as required
Perform work in a safe and efficient manner, using needed personal protective equipment and utilizing all necessary safety precautions required
Required Skills and Experience:
Previous fabrication experienced essential
Experienced with Plasma and Oxy Acetylene Cutting
Must be able to read blue prints and understand weld symbols
Strong analytical and problem solving skills
Welder ticket an asset but not required
Must be a proactive thinker, and be able to work with a high level of accuracy, have good attention to detail, and meet tight deadlines
