Account Manager (Former Employee) – San Francisco, CA – 17 July 2012
Our department was slowly laid off due to loss of several large commercial accounts. Our department of 35 people was dwindled down to 4 people. I still keep in touch with several coworkers. Otherwise, it was a great working environment with great benefits.
Various Positions (Former Employee) – Calgary, AB and Houston, TX – 23 May 2017
This is an excellent company to work for with opportunity to advance. Training provides for the various positions I held within the company was very good and the support I received from management was excellent.
Customer Service Representative (Former Employee) – Toronto, ON – 5 May 2017
If you are working in the call centre, the environment is generally stressful with a ridiculously high volume of calls because of high-turnover, which means always under-staffed. Management is kind of a joke, except for a select few, even though they are all very nice. Comments that should be reported to HR happen constantly in this place, strangely mostly by managers.
It's a job, pay is ok, bonuses that are actually attainable
Being under-staffed, lack of teamwork, poor on-floor management
Bilingual Customer Service (Former Employee) – Toronto, ON – 4 April 2017
I worked their as a bilingual customer service taking calls from CIBC employees. Their training programs were poorly designed, it lacked elaboration, teachers were not informative. Supervisors are unhelpful, sometimes they are rude. Knowledge base is available but it is disorganized, it takes you long time to find a piece of information which is needed. New hires are not given enough time to know the technology. Many employees are nothing more than sycophants to prolong their contracts.
rude co workers except for fews. Uninformative supervisors and management.
Administrative Assistant (Current Employee) – Toronto, ON – 19 March 2017
Overall, great work environment, family friendly culture, flexible to accommodate personal life. Depending on the position, it might take long years to get promoted or grow in your career as it is a very stable company with very low turn over, nobody leaves unless they are retiring making it very difficult to climb the career ladder.
Customer Service Agent (Former Employee) – Toronto, ON – 7 February 2017
I had a good experience, I learn lot from mistakes, from others colleagues and from the support team. Is only the way wich is how the training is done is not the best, but still a lot of good things I could learn from it. Great team!

Customer Service Specialist (Former Employee) – Toronto, ON – 24 January 2017
I had a great time working there, made lots of connections. Learned a lot about benefits and pensions. However the department I worked with was managed very badly, and unfortunately that is what I think lead to the disintegration of the Small-Market Dept.
Productive and good place to work for. You can move to one positive to another easily as well as from one branch to another.
Account Coordinator (Former Employee) – Markham, ON – 16 December 2016
Multinational enterprise with a variety of opportunities. Most of the jobs are multitask. You need to do a bit of phone calls, checking emails and move them. Some IT tasks in day to day basis needs yu to be familiar with the xpress system and Microsoft office as well as outlook. Communication skills are necessary as you need to deal with other branches and local brokers and managers. You need to be organized and meet deadlines and ready for meetings. Training sessions are continually going on. So time management is important.
