Interesting and challenging place to work
Assistant Coordinator (Former Employee), Ciudad de México, DIFApril 13, 2013
The most difficult to live all days of the week was the traffic for moving to their offices, per day from arriving to the office and leaving to home was about 2 hours 30 minutes so it makes stressful because too much traffic, it doesnt matter on fridays they finished the journey early at 13:00 hours.

Regarding the goals were such as interesting because, – more... there were many opportunity areas to work in, as the customer service and giving follow up to many protocols, specially learnig how to attend new patients, people asking for information about our products and learn how to perfectly know to which person send calls, e-mails, and information, was really nice and enjoyable to know it is a noble and satisfactory company because they work to save lifes or to improve the quality of life of person with delicate health problems such as cancer or osteoporosis..

The enviroment and the co-workers were nice people, it was young people team with new ideas so it makes every day journey a good place to work. – less

Leading international bio-tech company with great products.
Sr. Oncology Sales Account Management (Former Employee), Thousand Oaks, CAApril 8, 2014
Pros: pro active in identifying, analysing and evaluating customers' need. dependable services, networking efficiancy and effectiveness.
Cons: base salary + out standing bonus opportunity, benefits.
I joined the professional team to manage the major oncology accounts in New Jersey. Within six months the groups of accounts I was managing performed so well that placed me in the top 10 percentile performer of the company. I also had opportunity to launch two new major bio-tech products. During the launch there was uncapped bonus period, which provided – more... great opportunity for the top performers. This 2 years my earning was in excess of 170K – less

Great and enrichment experience
Facilities/Student (Former Employee), PRMarch 20, 2014
Pros: great commitment
I did my Capstone Project in AMGEN, Juncos and was a great and enrichment experience. The supervisor showed a great commitment with us even thought we could see he was very busy. He took the time to explain to us how every detail of the HVAC system worked making it possible to for us to finish our project.

Used to be a Great Place to Work
Associate Scientist (Current Employee), Oaks, CAMarch 18, 2014
Pros: beautiful campus, great benefits, amazing 401k and bonuses
Cons: politics rules not science
The people are really smart but are often underutilized which leads to petty power struggles and poor decision making. The campus is beautiful but it is located far from Los Angeles (can be a pro/con depending on where you prefer to live, I'm a city person so this is a con). The 401K is great and so are the bonuses. Upward mobility is possible but you – more... have to be very patient and play politics. The work atmosphere used to be creative and exciting and now it feels pessimistic and fearful. If you want to cruise on neutral this is a great company, if you want to learn and feel inspired look for a smaller (younger?) biotech. – less

Great time place to start a job
Associate Quality Control (Former Employee), Longmont, COMarch 13, 2014
Pros: experience and knowledge
Cons: temp position
This was my first experience with a big company and it was great. The people were great the work was fun and the learning was daily. Fresh out of school, I jumped in to my daily duties. There was lots of training and I learned the basics of media prep, autoclaves, use of pH meters and balances and more. I had great management that would try to help – more... develop my skills with my input. I enjoy being in the lab with my co-workers, working while still talking and having fun. – less

Super intelligent workforce, novel biotech innovations. good pay, great benies
Sr. Primary Container Engineer (Manager) (Current Employee), Thousand OaksFebruary 26, 2014
Pros: good pay, great benies. awesome people
Cons: downsizing, lacking clear direction from the top down
Management in some areas are clueless and disruptive to science. This happens anywhere, not special to Amgen. However, Sr. Management is now all about the bottom line, and the Scientific Method cannot be governed by silly deadlines and budgets.
Great place to work, flexible hours, good pay. great people, working with new science is amazing..... until – more... they accelerate the program into the ground and make million dollar business decisions on limited data. – less

Everyday was something new out inthe field, it is a great experience selling a biologic
Senior Biopharmaceutical Representative (Current Employee), East Orange, NJFebruary 7, 2014
Pros: doing something challenging day in and day out
Cons: growing number of no see practices
It is a challenge selling to several different therapeutic specialties, as they each have their own different area of focus. Through hard work and a lot fo analytical evaluation, it is quite rewarding when you can pull through the business.
