The Technical Manager is responsible for all aspects of management and leadership with the IT software development team. The Technical Manager must oversee both the sound implementation and on time delivery of medical software to meet the Alpha Global IT’s goals of improving the quality of health care. He/she must demonstrate a positive attitude towards the support of patient and customer needs, changing requirements, changing technologies and business environment. He/she must demonstrate a strong one-team attitude towards the delivery of quality products, including sales, requirements and product definition, development, testing, training, installation, and post-install customer support.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:
Demonstrated success in the delivery of software to the user market.
15 years of experience in software development
10 years of experience in development team management, including technical management, people management, project management.
Experience in software architecture
Experience in quality assurance
Working knowledge of a variety of technologies, including Java, SQL/MySQL, Web Technologies, development IDE’s, version control, build processes.
Experience in small-business technical and customer support and client management is an asset
Bachelor degree in software engineering or equivalent
Graduate degree in software engineering or equivalent is an asset.
