This position will focus on transportation shipping activities, managing costs, risks and liabilities through planning and scheduling all shipping requirements within standard policies and procedures.. This position is also responsible for tracking and managing the QA documentation requirements as as the single point of contact for QA and dispatching all shipping of products and equipment requirements for operations and third party logistics.

  • Managing and tracking finished goods quantities in inventory and staging locations;
  • Identifying excess finished goods for marketing; collecting of all historical data in the database obtaining packing-list information entered for and the product transferred to the CO;
  • Tracking and confirming product tracking information; collecting and entering corresponding Product ID information into the QCDB tracking system to meet quality and customer requirements;
  • Creating and issuing outbound shipping packing slips: and generating the QCDB supplement;
  • Updating and maintaining daily detailed shipping activity logs;
  • Coordinating all job-order loading requirements of finished goods; dispatching loader operators for loading piles for projects and customers;
  • Coordinating third-party logistics for transportation of finished goods and moving equipment to sites; coordination with install manager and site supervisors;
  • Creating and managing all shipping manifests documentation; scanning copies to the job files’
  • Communicating with project managers and informing the site supervisors of the expected shipment delivery times, providing adequate timing for preparation for unloading logistics coordination at site; track all loads for whereabouts and where possible GPS tracking;
  • Managing costs, reviewing all trucking and courier invoices reconciling number of loads with shipping activity log; track all shipping costs by project; and
  • Other related duties


  • Completion of High school or equivalent
  • 6 months to 2 years’ experience in shipping/receiving or dispatch
  • Understanding of manufacturing processes, production, scheduling and capacity planning
  • Intermediate Microsoft Office Skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • MRP/ERP experience is an asset, Visual preferred
