Needs Management Over Haul Once Again
Implementation Consultant (Former Employee), Remote – May 5, 2013
Pros: pay and benefits
Cons: treatment of customers. nepotism. favoritism
Terrible working environment. The praises are misplaced. Advancement is based on nepotism or favoritism. Remote employees are under valued. Some implementation consultants are paid well and others are not. Very inconsistent. Customer service is an afterthought.

Fast paced and productive working environment.
Lead Communications Consultant (Current Employee), Atlanta, GA – April 16, 2013
Pros: telecommuting, flexibility, cafeteria downstairs, not from home
There is no typical day at work. Every day is different-that is part of working as a communications professional no day is like any other day. I work with some of the best consultants around. My manager is well respected and I've learned a lot from her and the training manager about being a GREAT consultant. The hardest part of the job is managing large – more... scale projects with a small team. The most enjoyable part of the job is working with my team mates. They make coming into work fun and exciting. – less

Project Manager for
IT Project Manager (Former Employee), The Woodlands, TX – March 15, 2013
Pros: work with the best technical professionals in the world
Cons: at times the projects were so dynamic and robusts causing me to work very long hours
Develop, deployed, and adapted new OEM Technology to serve hundred of users on several platforms. I have experience with communications, networking, instrumentation, controls, digital signal processing and digital image processing applications. I managed Senior Systems Analyst and Project Leaders and Engineers for new software partners Allscripts Interfaced – more... with. I also worked with SAP CRM Technologies and implemented them for hundreds of sales representatives. The best part of the job was strategically partnering with software development firms to implement new innovative strategies to improve providers Technological Needs. The hardest part of the job was managing the Full Life Cycle of Large Scale Strategic Sales once the new development was implemented. I was also responsible to drive the deals to close on a national scale. – less

Good place to work if they get management on the same field
Sr. Project Manager (Former Employee), Atlanta, GA – March 12, 2013
Pros: remote work
Cons: too many narrow minded people who won't grow
Good products, but they have too many one track management minded people who won't get onboard with the new corporate vision. You have to access fifty system to do everything

Tough but still a great place to work
Implementation Consultant (Current Employee), Burlington, VT – February 26, 2013
Pros: benefits, salary, 401k
Cons: remote employee feels like outcast sometimes
Allscripts is a great company to work for, the benefits are good with many options to choose from for you and your family. Salary is competitive. 401k matching is fair

Only downside, as a remote employee I don't have the day to day interaction with co-workers and sometimes feel like I am questioned more then other workers when it comes to where I got – more... information I am passing along to clients. – less

Very Good environment!
Contractor (Former Employee), Raleigh, NC – February 8, 2013
Pros: good management
Cons: a little stressful, working with doctors.
This was a very wonderful experience. I enjoyed the helpdesk queue and learned a lot about healthcare database. The company really had a lot to offer! I was a contractor, however; and there was not a full-time offering at the time of my employment.

Great place before the merges
AIT Support (Former Employee), Raleigh, NC – January 24, 2013
Work was good, lots to learn, management encouraged you to develop your skills however after the merger, you got poor management and they promoted anybody to manager. After merger I hated my job. Jobs all going to India.

Pretty good benefits, but not everyone can be a manager
Support Consultant (Current Employee), Chicago, IL – January 13, 2013
Pros: benefits, holidays off
Cons: compensation, managment, training
Allscripts is a 50/50 shot. They need to work on their training of employees. Some divisions train well, while others need to change thier training styles and train longer and better. Great beneifts and they work well around your life especially if you have a family. Compensation is below the average. Managment needs a little work, not everyone who – more... is in a managment position should be a manager. But overall, its a pretty good company to work for. – less

Expert Software Engineer (Current Employee), Malvern, PA – January 11, 2013
Pros: free snacks and drinks on occasion, good location, great people
Cons: management keeps you in the dark a lot and pushes for unrealistic deadlines
This is my second tour of duty with the company. I came back because the people in the office are great to work with and the work is excellent.
