Role Description:

We are looking for someone with a “Work hard. Play hard.” attitude. We expect for this person to be able to immediately hit the ground running. You should be able to do a keyword demand analysis to build a new category taxonomy and overall site architecture from the ground floor up. We expect this person to own and grow the websites and quickly utilizing their expertise in online marketing.

Responsibilities may include:

  • Implement content with “quality content is king” mentality
  • Be able to write effective copy to convey value propositions for our services and create conversations
  • Be able to roll up your sleeves and manage organic search
  • Utilize social media channels to add relevance and weight to our organic search efforts
  • You will be responsible for defining the overall organic structure of the sites to ensure we are compliant with current and future Google algorithm changes
  • You need to be able to create an effective structure/architecture that is manageable long term
  • You need to have a good grasp of analytics and be analytical as well
  • Monitor and benchmark against competition to make sure we are outperforming them
  • Monitor traffic and conversion rate on a daily, weekly, monthly and annual basis and create reports to update the team leader
  • Understand and analyze organic vs paid keywords and understand the relationship and opportunity of using both keyword types to drive your decisions
  • Create a site structure capable of being easily crawled and maintained
  • Understand the site visitor’s intent to maintain site usability
  • Continually monitor search engine updates and changes and make necessary changes as required
  • Promote and drive registration to our webinars
  • Create landing pages and optimize through A/B testing

Skills and Requirements:

  • Minimum 2-4 years of SEO/SEM experience REQUIRED (such as URL structures, keyword analysis, content optimization, search engine crawlers, indexes, algorithms, other factors that can impact SEO and On and Off page SEO techniques)
  • Social Media savvy with demonstrated history of conducting campaigns, growing fan base and engaging customers and loyalists online (Pinterest, FB, G+, Twitter)
  • Expertise in content marketing and outreach w/demonstrated wins
  • Google analytics, Google/Bing webmaster tools
  • Knowledge of Google+ and Google Places
  • Proficient with MS office suite especially Excel
  • Adobe Photoshop and Unbounce a plus
  • Basic HTML/CSS
  • In-depth experience with Google and Bing webmaster tools
  • Experience with other third party organic search tools (i.e. Moz, Majestic)
  • Experienced using Content Management System
  • Experience with direct marketing techniques, lead flow management, CRM and Marketing Automation tools.
  • Experience working with external vendors (i.e. Textbroker, Elance)
  • Need to provide examples of the work you have done and the results in organic search
