Alberta Home Services is currently accepting resumes for a Gas Fitter/Service Tech. We are a busy HVAC Furnace and AC Sales Service and Installation Company. Our ideal candidate would have mechanical skills and hold a Provincial Gas Fitter License class A to work on all types of Gas equipment. This is a permanent full time position. Terms of Employment: Permanent, Full Time, Day/ On call Evenings and weekends.
Salary: Journeyman Hourly Rate plus for 40 hours per week, Other Benefits and Dental Benefits, Life Insurance Benefits, Group Insurance Benefits, Vision Care Benefits,
Anticipated Start Date: As soon as possible
Location: Calgary, Alberta

Education: Completion of high school, Completion of vocational or technical training.
Credentials Provincial Gas Fitter Class A License
Experience: 5 years or more
Languages: Speak English, Read English, Write English
Major Work Area: Residential HVAC , Repair Service and Install.
Skill Requirements:
Complete all HVAC, water heater and all other required service.
Preparing material requisition forms to ensure proper truck stock levels.
Perform job material source and accurately record all materials received and/or returned.
Perform service calls and other assignments as instructed and do so in a courteous manner. Handle customer concerns, questions, or problems in an effective manner.
Complete all paperwork in a neat, accurate, complete and timely manner.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Analyze, diagnose and resolve customer problems.
Notice potential problems to prevent premature and unexpected breakdowns or callbacks.
Responsible for delivery and removal of equipment needed to complete service work

Fill-out all forms and paperwork in a neat, timely, complete, and accurate manner.
Perform service on heating, air conditioning, ventilation, and refrigeration equipment as well as accessories.
Successfully complete routine maintenance and furnace cleaning.
Perform start-ups on air conditioning.
Perform limited diagnostic work.

Gasfitter Class A License is required.
Minimum of a Grade 12 education, college or trade school diploma is preferred.
Clean drivers abstract and successfully complete a background check.
Flexibility to be on-call to respond to service calls after hours.
Strong time management skills.
Superior communication and customer service skills.
Excellent written, verbal, interpersonal and organizational skills.
Good mechanical aptitude.
Able to operate all necessary tools and equipment to perform various service projects.
Able to properly start up and balance airflow on all residential systems with little or no supervision.
Able to properly align belts and pulleys on residential systems with no supervision.
Able to install a basic duct fittings.
Must be able to troubleshoot and repair electronic air cleaners, refrigeration systems, hot water systems, and humidifiers with little or no supervision.
Able to estimate any job service that may be required (repair or replacement).
Must have a valid driver’s license.
Additional Skills: Instruct apprentices, Professionalism in customer service, Schedule personnel, tools and equipment, Supervise other workers.
Security and Safety: Criminal record check, Driving record check (abstract)
