Previous Supervisory experience in the warehousing industry (2+ years experience preferred).
Applicable Industry experience in manpower planning, MHE, warehousing and load building principles, root cause analysis, change management, labor & employment legislation, Health & safety.
Advanced Computer skills in all Microsoft applications.
Demonstrated strong organizational ability & time management skills.
Strong Leadership & communication skills.
Good analytical skills.
Conflict resolution skills.
In this fast paced supervisory position, you will report to the Operations Manager. Main job duties include, but are not limited to:
Responsible for all operational aspects of the shift (floor and office), including labour planning/balancing, directing, counseling and instructing. Provide team leadership and guidance to direct reports. Foster good employee relations.
Provide information to Operations Manager re: equipment repairs and facility maintenance, etc.
Provide team leadership and guidance to direct reports.
Daily communication & update meetings with the Operations Manager & direct reports.
Contact authorized contractors to schedule repairs and maintenance in conjunction with Operations Manager.
Determines how work is to be assigned to the floor, based on equipment availability, space utilization (case vs. rack vs. bulk), etc and assign picks to staff.
Monitor productivity on an ongoing basis.
Interaction with internal customers as required
Training Staff
Employee Performance reviews
Maintain & report on all KPI’s applicable to shift.
Responsible for the overall Health & safety as it relates to his shift
Modify orders based on client needs and stock availability and run PLSR’s and inventory checks.
Check & audit orders for accuracy.
Other duties as assigned.
