Reporting directly to the Executive Director, the Communications Manager plays a senior role and is responsible for the marketing and communications portfolio. This full-time position is heavily reliant upon excellent organizational skills and the ability to multi-task, excellent communication skills, ability to contribute, to contribute and implement the overall communication strategy, and the ability to develop and execute meaningful member events. The Communications Manager is required to work directly with the Association members, internal and external stakeholders, build relationships, and strive for high levels of customer satisfaction.
Your leadership abilities and experience will allow you to oversee an event independently and work in cooperation with committees and other internal and external team members. You will plan, coordinate, execute and evaluate communication strategies and tools, branding, social media, events ranging from ceremonies and volunteer recognition, conferences, committee meetings, tradeshows, sponsorship opportunities, social functions, golf tournaments to professional development sessions.
You will be responsible for such tasks as preparing, monitoring and completing comprehensive budgets, managing event processes, managing stakeholder expectations, creating and adhering to critical paths, develop and evaluating RFP’s, providing sound tradeshow and sponsorship strategies, write and oversee the development of marketing and promotional materials, selecting external resources, develop power point presentations, develop and summarize meaningful surveys, confirming and executing all event details to ensure a well executed event.
You will also be responsible for such administrative tasks and supervising an assistant in Reporting attendance statistics, maintaining the member database, creating, preparing and distributing meeting minutes and supporting documents as required, processing conference registrations, coordinating special guest lists, creating nametags and other administrative duties related to events.

SKILL SET (must have)

 At least six years in Communications
 Marketing and event planning experience
 Excellent writing skills
 Team player
 Excellent time management and organizational skills
 Degree or Certificate in Event Planning, Marketing, Public or Community Relations or CMP or Communications designation an asset
 Well versed in software programs and tools
