Albarrie Canada Limited is a world leader in providing a variety of industries with needle-punched nonwoven speciality textiles for various applications.
In the past Albarrie has provided canoe makers with material for hull reinforcement, material for bullet proof jackets for law enforcement officers, extrusion rollers and padding for the aluminum industry, expansion joints for many industries requiring anchor points in a piping system and even aeration fabrics for conveying dry mixtures.
1.Completion of a university degree in Textile Engineering or related textile or engineering educational pursuits

2.Able to interpret and provide technical textile information to internal and external parties with the highest degree of professionalism and confidentiality.
3.Exceptional computer skills – advanced Microsoft Office knowledge and strong understanding and comfort level working in an integrated ERP environment.
4.Demonstrated ability to work in an entrepreneurial environment with strong leadership and people skills.
5.Ability to work within a flexible schedule as required to meet the needs of the position.
6.Ability to work efficiently and effectively under pressure with numerous deadlines.
7.Ability to define problems, generate alternatives and implement solutions.
8.Analytical skills including the ability to visualize, articulate, and solve complex problems, and apply logical solutions.
9.Ability to travel when necessary.
10.Excellent project management skills.
1.Flexibility to travel out of the country and must have a valid passport.
2.Must have a valid Driver’s License to operate both own and company vehicles.
3.Must be willing to commute or relocate.
Major duties and responsibilities:
1.Investigates customers’ applications to determine if the technical textile product would work.
2.Collect technical and commercial information and data for written report(s).
3.Build prototype samples for testing and evaluation.
4.Prepare technical documents for testing of products and equipment.
5.Research, test, and assist in the design of new products.
6.Performs materials tests following set protocols.
7.Attends and documents design and design review meetings; maintains design history files.
8.Researches new fabrics and fibers for applications and processes.
9.Conducting market analyses and presenting findings to the Director of Development and Director of Operations for acquisition, development, disposition and portfolio investment strategies.
10.Support product performance to brief through sensory, protocol and analytical testing.
11.New and changed product development, formulation and specification of these products and plant trials.
