Our head office located in Nanaimo, BC is currently seeking an Accounting Clerk. Reporting to the Controller, this position involves full cycle accounting for multiple businesses in the construction and property management industry. This is an entry level position with unlimited opportunities for growth.
The preparation and reconciliation of payables, receivables, payroll, government remittances and cash forecasts
Maintenance of electronic and physical filing systems
General administrative duties as required
Qualifications and Desired Skills:
Intermediate to advanced computer skills particularly in using MS Office Suite including Excel and Word.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Highly motivated and independent work ethic with impeccable organization and time
Strong ability to prioritize workload and meet strict deadlines
Previous bookkeeping experience would be considered and asset
Preference will be given to applicants with a secondary education including a diploma or degree in accounting
