We are currently seeking an individual for the following vacancy:


Reporting to the Technical Manager, you will be responsible for day-to-day technical/lab functions, quality assurance testings, in-process quality control and ensuring APA, Web and JAS specifications are adhered to. In addition to the maintenance of the daily inventory of supplies, you will ensure chemicals are offloaded properly, shift process technicians have necessary tools and equipment to perform daily duties as well as audit daily tasks completed by process technicians. You will also inspect and coordinate the maintenance of all blending equipment related to resin and wax handling, review results of off grade testing, ensure all off grade is accounted for and prepare month end reports for inventory, resin/wax usage and quarantine.

Preference will be given to candidates who possess Technical Diploma or a Wood Science Degree, a minimum of five years experience in a wood products manufacturing plant, preferably OSB and proven in-depth knowledge of the OSB process and technical requirements. Excellent computer and math (SPC) skills, with strong interpersonal and communication skills, are essential.

Type of Position:
Permanent, full-time (40 hours per week)

$69,000 - $92,000 per year, depending on experience
