About AGAT Laboratories

Planet Biopharmaceuticals (formerly Planet Technologies) wants to make it easier to avoid the irritating things in life. The company markets and sells a wide range of products for allergy sufferers, including its own Allergy Control branded bedding and Allergy Free branded air filters. It also markets third-party allergen-reducing products, such as – more... air cleaners and dehumidifiers, vacuums, and carpet cleaning products made by the likes of Miele and  Whirlpool. The company sells its products directly to consumers through its allergycontrol.com Web site. To complement its avoidance products, the company also owns the Antigen Laboratories line of allergenic extracts used by physicians for allergy shots.

The company, once known as Planet Polymer Technologies, changed its name and its business focus in 2004 upon the completion of its acquisition of Allergy Free LLC. Previously, the company was a developer of water-soluble and biodegradable polymer materials for the agricultural and industrial markets.

To boost its position in the market, Planet Technologies acquired another allergy-avoidance product marketer, Allergy Control Products, in 2005. It followed up that buy with the 2007 acquisition of Antigen Laboratories.

The company has launched a program to develop allergenic extracts which can be delivered orally instead of the standard method of a shot in the arm. The clinical development program will seek FDA approval for its products. – less
