Don't Belive the other reviews.
Summer Student - Lending (Former Employee), Vermillion AlbertaMay 10, 2014
Pros: everything
Cons: low turnover (most employees are lifers)
Firstly the other reviews are wrong. AFSC is an Alberta Crown corp. They are reviewing some prison in the states. Either way AFSC is possibly the best place I ever worked and I've been trying to get back in the company like crazy. They respect their employees and treat them amazing (huge coffee bar and massage chairs in head office in Lacombe). Everyone there is really nice and the workloads are very reasonable. They have employment awards for a reason!

Great place to work and learn about the prison system. Even though I didn't meet the prisoners face to face, their letters painted a picture of who they were. Great experience.

NOT A VERY GOOD PLACE TO WORK
Intern (Current Employee), Baltimore, MDApril 26, 2013
Pros: helping inmates
Cons: lack of professionalism
It's a great place to work as far as helping others, but lack of professional leadership. Not a great place to work if your currently an inmate.
