Old fashion company
Recruiter (Former Employee), MichiganJune 25, 2014
Pros: nothing
Advantage is stuck in the stone age when it comes to giving their recruiters the tools to be successful. You are constantly driven to get hires and goals that are impossible to achieve. It is a revolving door with people always getting fired. Very negative vibe in all of the offices. Management is standoffish and makes you feel dumb when you come to – more... them with a concern. You only know you are doing something wrong when you are brought into the office and fired. Very toxic work environment. There are many other companies out there that will treat you better. – less

Has a lot of companies that they can pair you with. Benefits are lacking.
Laser Analyzer Technician (Current Employee), Houston, TxJune 17, 2014
This a decent company that can pair you with different types of companies. It is a temp agency that you serve a one contract with and if the company wants to hire you, they tend not to stand in the way.

Ancillary Cleaner (Former Employee), Barrow-In-Furness, ENGJune 4, 2014
Pros: wages were good
Cons: heat and noise
working on submarine build cleaning after welders, grinders had finished, preparing area to be inspected. working in confined spaces and at height. got on well with the managers and co-workers. hardest part of the job was if you needed to climb up ladder above the submarine height and also the noise and heat . the best part of the job was you got your – more... work done but all the workers in the yard excepted you and would talk to you etc. – less

Could Have Been Better!
Customer Service Representative (Former Employee), Kansas City, MOMay 26, 2014
Pros: my duties seemed pretty simple.
Cons: not enough hours.
A typical day at Advantage was okay. They hired too many people in my opinion so they had a lot of VTO available and they also had to let a lot of people go at one point. I did learn a lot about the tax process and how my position helped. Management was really good and they taught the newcomers as much as we could learn. They hired all kinds of people – more... so my co-workers at times were kind of handfuls. The most enjoyable part of my job was being able to help clients figure out what was going on with their taxes and appointment setting. – less

Seasonal Customer Service Representative (Former Employee), Kansas City, MOJanuary 30, 2014
Pros: great cafeteria great breaks
Cons: had unusal hours of coming in to work
Atypical day at this job requires being on time sitting in one place for a long period time answering high call volumes. I learned to be patient and honest and always smile because they can hear it. The co-workers I worked with were very helping when needed. The hardest part of this job would be letting them know that there tax refund wasn't available – more... to them. Getting people the help they needed was very enjoyable. – less

National Recruiting Company
Recruiter (Contract) (Current Employee), Sacramento, CAJanuary 17, 2014
I work on a variety of reqs throughout the country. I enjoy staying busy and matching qualified canidates with good opportunities.
The hardest part of the job is that the company is going through management changes and the work atmosphere is stressful. The most enjoyable part of the job for me is working with people and helping them find a job.
