Productive
Technical Assistant (Former Employee), Tilbury, ENGJuly 14, 2014
Pros: enjoyable workplace
Cons: long hours
I was well looked after during my short time at ADM Milling. I had worked in the lab which enabled me to carry out a number of roles including:

The responsibility for working in the laboratory with other members of staff sampling wheat vehicles across the weighbridge and analysing the wheat to meet quality standards for the main raw material for flour – more... manufacture.
Using the Infralyser (Scanning NIR) in order to analyse flour produced from the wheat during production and prior to delivery to customer’s post packing and outloading into bulk tankers.
This job role gave me some experience using expensive analytical instruments, accurate recording of data and working closely with other laboratory technicians in the Quality Assurance department. – less

Ok job but not the best working environment
Process Control Operator (Current Employee), Chattanooga, TNJuly 6, 2014
The pay was OK. The benefits were probably very good for the area. Had to work seven days a week, 8 - 12 hours a day. Didn't get any holidays off and it seemed that management didn't really care for the hourly employees that much except when it came to safety concerns that could hurt the company. Has room for some growth but I don't see why when you – more... don't get any time off for anything family or otherwise. – less

Good pay and benefits but no life
Machine Operator/Utility/Laborer (Current Employee), Lincoln, NEMarch 10, 2014
Pros: good pay, good benefits safe place to work
Cons: no life, too much overtime, get forced to work, no advancement unless you relocate out of state
the people you work with are nice, but managment dont care if you have any thing going on in your life and need to go home for family. they only care about numbers, you could be the hardest worker there and you will not get aknowledged for your hard work. no advancement unless you move out of state. environment is no controled gets to be about 130 degrees – more... inside the plant during the summer and gets cold in the winter. – less

Good place to work
Industrial Mechanic (Former Employee), Plainview, TXFebruary 13, 2014
Pros: good steady work
Cons: breakdowns and call ins
Start out with work orders,to breakdowns and pm's. I learned a lot about safety that was one of the big things of the plant. Management was good when they weren't trying to intimidate you. Co-workers were easy to get along with. The hardest part of the job being maintenance was allergies from grain dust. One of the best parts of the job was safety lunches.

Logistics Coordinator (Former Employee), Buffalo, NYMay 20, 2013
Pros: the customers
Cons: lack of training
Performed data entry, customer service, and search of trucking and rail cars. I learned the many different trucking aspects.
Management was oblivious to the lack of training that was received.
The hardest part of the job was not educated in certain processes due to lack of training.
The most enjoyable part was getting to learn about and know the local – more... businesses and people. – less
