Bookkeeper/Office Assistant

Well Established Rental Company in Cranbrook is looking for candidate to fill position of bookkeeper and to ensure the efficient day-to-day operations of the office.
Position to start mid January

Responsibilities would include maintaining and updating daily accounting records including recording of accounts receivable, accounts payable, payroll, government remittances, monthly statements, bank reconciliation, preparing bank deposits, and preparing records to be submitted to accountant at year end.

Other duties include: answering phones, booking rentals, maintaining office supplies, filing, backing up of files and maintaining office equipment, responsible for responding to email inquiries, preparing quotes, ordering and receiving stock, and other office duties as required.

Must be willing to learn, some on job training will be provided.

Hours 30-35 hours week, and wage is $15.00 per hour to start

Qualifications:

Proficient in Simply Accounting, MS Office, and must have solid computer knowledge and skills, highly organized and must pay close attention to detail, good communication skills, self starter & must be able to prioritize.

Training and Experience

Post secondary courses in areas of bookkeeping, MS office and office procedures, and
a minimum of 2 years related experience.
