Acquaint Personnel Services is seeking a qualified individual to fill the role of a Human Resources Specialist. Reporting to the Human Resources Manager, the Human Resources Specialist will provide support to the implementation of effective Human Resource Services and Systems.


  • Assist the Human Resources Manager on HR reporting and metrics, HRIS databases, HR programs and other day-to-day HR activities
  • Enter and update information in our in-house Human Resources Systems, while maintaining a high level of data integrity, accuracy and confidentiality at all times
  • Liaise and work closely with managers and other departments to understand reporting needs and project deliverables
  • Initiate ideas and participate in project teams aimed at process improvement for our HR processes and strategies
  • Be an active member of a HR team of professionals and share HR knowledge and expertise readily


  • Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Business, and/or with a major in Human Resources
  • Certified Human Resources Professional Designation (CHRP) would be a definite asset
  • 8+ years of previous experience in Human Resources functions, in a very fast paced work environment in the construction industry
  • Knowledge & understanding of Labour Relations, Labour Standards, Human Rights, Occupational Health & Safety Act, and Privacy Act
  • Expertise and knowledge of HRIS databases, demonstrate computer knowledge with systems such as Windows and the complete suite of MS Office applications
  • Recognized for your professionalism, superb interpersonal and problem solving skills and current knowledge of theories, principles, legislation, and practices in the Human Resources field
  • Capable self-starter and can demonstrate a strong work ethic and a commitment to confidentiality, accuracy, and process quality for all HR activities
  • Excellent consulting, facilitation, training, presentation, and verbal and written communication skills
