Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, the successful candidate will perform accounting and clerical tasks related to the efficient maintenance and processing of accounts payable transactions, complete payments and controls expenses by receiving processing, verifying and reconciling invoices. The Accounts Payable Clerk is responsible for the efficient payment, coding and data input of supplier invoices for 13 companies.
Specific task and duties will include charging of expenses to accounts and cost centers, scheduling and preparing cheque runs, resolving purchase orders, contract, invoice, or payment discrepancies, maintaining accounting ledgers, verifying vendor accounts, sorting, coding and matching invoices , entering and uploading invoices into our system, posting transactions, maintaining vendor files, reconciling accounts and producing monthly reports.
Candidates will have a minimum of three years Accounts Payable experience and be knowledgeable in general accounting procedures, relevant accounting software (Quick Books, Microsoft Office products and Corecon Project Management System), and proficient in data entry with construction industry experience. Candidates must have a strong attention to detail and accuracy, be able to meet deadlines, maintain confidentiality, have excellent communication, problem solving and computer skills while working effectively within a team environment.
