We are currently seeking a high caliber Electrician 1/2 for a position in Fort McMurray. Working on a rotation, you will be working for one of the world’s leading engineering, procurement and construction companies, in the field of Oil and Gas – Hvac Systems.

Duties:

  • Assemble prefabricated parts on an assembly line, or at work benches using screw guns and other hand and power tools
  • Assemble circuit breakers, switches or other electrical control equipment and position and fasten components such as springs, toggles or other parts into assembly casings
  • Inspects, repairs, installs, modifies, and maintains electrical/electronic systems, circuits and equipment.

Requirements:

  • 2-5 years of on the job experience
  • Secondary Education, Formal Training Statements
  • Requires a high school diploma or its equivalent with 2-5 years of experience in the field or in a related area. May have to complete an apprenticeship and/or formal training in area of specialty. Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field. Relies on limited experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of tasks. Works under general supervision. A certain degree of creativity and latitude is required. Typically reports to a supervisor/manager.

We are seeking experienced Electrician for a project in Fort McMurray.

Responsibilities

Qualifications

  • Direct experience working as a safety supervisor or in within a similar role in the construction industry (preferable commercial construction) for a period of no less than two (2) years.
  • Post secondary education
  • Excellent team building skills
  • Working knowledge of current safety and environmental regulatory requirements
  • Proven record in effectively delivering education and training
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Self starter with the ability to work with minimal supervision
  • A combination of experience, training and formal education will be considered.
