The Arrowsmith School Toronto is the principle site of the Arrowsmith Program, a unique methodology currently offered in over 50 schools internationally. Its creator and founder Barbara Arrowsmith-Young is an award winning educator who is considered a pioneer in the fields of neuroscience and education.
We requires a teacher to cover the maternity leave of one of its staff members.
This is a co-teaching position for a class of upper elementary and lower high school aged students. Arrowsmith School is not focused on a full academic curriculum but offers a unique cognitive program which requires all teachers to undergo specific Arrowsmith training.
This teacher will complete a three week training course that runs from January 27th to Febuary 14th, and then will have co-teaching responsibilities for the reminder of the school year and into the next. The position runs until April 2015.
Candidates are required to be members of the Ontario College of Teachers and have related teaching or work experience with students with learning disabilities. The position requires a teacher who possesses the following attributes:
