POSITION: Assistant Catering Manager
SHIFTS: Hours based on business levels – must be available days, evenings and weekends – 70 to 88 hours bi-weekly
RATE OF PAY: Negotiable

JOB SUMMARY
The Assistant Catering Manager maintains a professional attitude while serving our clients. They are responsible for taking, organizing and delivering orders, assisting with employee scheduling, ensuring excellent quality control of the final product before delivery to the client, and maintaining a positive rapport with clients and staff members. They report directly to the Catering Manager.

JOB DUTIES

  • Delivering of daily catering orders
  • Set up and clean up of catering orders
  • Do daily packing for catering orders
  • Develop a professional relationship with clients
  • Develop a professional relationship with fellow employees
  • Ensure safety and cleanliness of catering area
  • Ensure safety and cleanliness of catering vehicles
  • Perform component opening/ closing when needed
  • Ensure proper product levels are maintained
  • Ensure cleanliness of operation
  • Handle customer service and employee concerns
  • Ensure adherence to all ARAMARK Policies and Procedures
  • Ensure adherence to ARAMARK’s Health and Safety Policy
  • Be willing and able to work in other areas of the operation
  • Other duties as indicated by the Catering Manager

EMPLOYMENT REQUIREMENTS

  • Previous catering experience would be considered a strong asset
  • Nova Scotia Driver’s license with a clean Driver’s Abstract
  • Some secondary school education is usually required
  • Minimum 2 - 3 years’ experience in the food service industry
  • Fluent in the English language
  • Work in an unionized environment an asset
  • Positive attitude – Ability to multi-task – Professional appearance
