Our client, a Fortune 500 retailer, is seeking to hire a Temporary Bilingual Corporate Recruiter. In this role you will be responsible for hiring staff for their Quebec stores. The ideal candidate will be fluent in French and English with at least 2-3 years recruiting experience in a fast-paced environment. You will have a passion for recruitment and the ability to identify great talent. The successful candidate will be familiar with French Canadian culture and vernacular.

Major Tasks, Responsibilities and Key Accountabilities

  • Actively engage candidates during phone interviews to identify relevant skills and strong customer service skills Presents high quality, qualified candidates to store leaders
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with the HR Business Partner and District HR Managers in order to meet recruitment objectives.
  • Develop individualized sourcing strategies for the markets and execute appropriately
  • Proactively source applicants to fill various vacancies
  • Ensure consistency, efficiency and compliance with applicable legislation and company policies
  • Ensure all staffing activities are compliant with the established sourcing, recruiting, and selection procedures including maintaining appropriate recordkeeping
  • Conduct employment references for shortlisted candidates
  • Partner with HR Business Partner on job fairs

Experience and Knowledge Required:

  • Fluency in French and English
  • Post-secondary education, HR Degree an asset
  • One to three years of human resources experience with a strong concentration in recruitment and selection
  • Demonstrated relationship building skills
  • Exceptional customer service, verbal and written communication skills
  • High degree of professionalism and confidentiality
  • Strong organizational skills including the ability to produce high quality work while juggling competing demands and tight deadlines
  • Ability to get things done quickly and effectively
  • Demonstrated ability to adopt creative sourcing solutions and a talent attraction strategy
  • Intermediate proficiency with MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, Powerpoint)
  • Knowledge of Canadian Employment law as it relates to the recruitment and selection process
  • Previous experience with applicant tracking systems
  • Schedule will require at least one 11-8pm shift per week and some Saturdays
