Working within the IT Department, the SharePoint Specialist is responsible for managing the overall health of the current SharePoint footprint and guiding the direction for the future capabilities of SharePoint at AFSC. The candidate is expected to have successfully implemented and managed other complex SharePoint 2010 environments and have the ability to diagnose complex SharePoint issues.

The incumbent is required to bring extensive knowledge of SharePoint, its capabilities and use of the tool to the AFSC team... The responsibilities will also include defining, maintaining and enforcing SharePoint's operational processes, policies, and standards for the whole company. They will work with IT as well as the business to make recommendations on site collections and site usage and bring industry best practices to the table.

This position will spend the majority of time working out of our Lacombe Central Office.

A university degree or diploma in Computer Science/Computer Technology coupled with 6+ years of software development experience, complemented with a minimum of 3 years of applied SharePoint 2010 (administer, developer, analyst) experience. Relevant and recent certifications or proof of experience in: navigation, permissions, content types, queries, templates, search, designer, CSS, HTML, XML, JavaScript, MS SQL 2008, Microsoft NET framework, Visual Studio and programming languages and Microsoft Certification (Microsoft Office SharePoint Server Certifications, MCSE, MCDBA, or other).

Equivalencies will be considered.
