Senior Sous Chef

We are currently looking for talented Senior Sous Chef. Self Motivated, Intuitive, Creative, with a positive work ethic.
As a Senior Sous Chef you would oversee and coordinate the planning, organizing, training and leadership necessary to achieve stated objectives in sales, costs, employee retention, customer service and satisfaction, food quality, cleanliness and sanitation.You would possess a warm and friendly attitude and be able to interact with customers easily. You would be particular in creating and maintaining an inviting and well managed kitchen in a world class multi cultural environment.
You would be responsible for quality, plate presentation, labour cost, food cost, menu's, budgets and costs. You would manage kitchen compliance of health and safety regulations, report directly to the Executive chef, General manager, and Owners and should expect to work between 50 and 60 hours a week with evening work as well.
You will be a hands-on Chef, you will be responsible for supervising all aspects of kitchen operations including:
- ensuring a positive work environment
- ensuring consistency, quality, and plate presentation
- control food and labour costs
- maintain budgeted sales and costs
- manage kitchen compliance of health and safety regulations
The ideal candidate will be required to possess
-Food Handler's Certificate
-3 Years + years of Kitchen Manager experience
-late night dining experience
-Hands on attitude (as cooking is required)
-An understanding of Food and Labour Costs
-Creativity and the ability to create a kitchen team Clear, concise written and verbal
