Position: Director of Care (Director of Resident Care/Director of Nursing)

Location: London, Ontario

The Director of Care will report to the Executive Director as a member of the Management team. This position is directly responsible to the Executive Director for the management and leadership of resident care and services. The Director of Resident Care will ensure adherence to the respective regulations and legislation in the Nursing Home Act and Regulations 832, the Resident’s Bill of Rights, the standards set by the College of Nurses of Ontario and the facility’s mission and policies. This position is expected to ensure the needs and expectations of the residents are met in accordance with the standards and guidelines of the Ministry of Health, and Long Term Care Facility Program Manual.

Along with your RN license and Long Term Care experience, you possess excellent listening, oral, presentation and written communication abilities. Your leadership is second to none. You are analytical in your decision making and problem solving and are assertive and a solid negotiator. You bring objectivity to a situation and can organize and plan your way around even the most difficult situations.
