Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled, dedicated, and enthusiastic Baker/Baker Manager to join Marry Me Mochi’s growing team. The ideal candidate is passionate about baking, has an eye for quality, and a deep commitment to food safety. As a Baker or Baker Manager, you will lead or support daily bakery operations, ensuring every product meets our high standards of taste, presentation, and freshness. This is the perfect role for someone looking to master their craft in an upscale bakery while delivering excellence in every detail. You'll be a manager and oversee the operations and all baking and drink making needs!

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and bake signature mochi donuts, mochi puffs, and specialty desserts and all drinks daily according to Marry Me Mochi’s premium recipes and presentation standards.
  • Oversee or assist with dough mixing, frying, glazing, filling, and decorating to ensure consistent product quality and visual appeal.
  • Maintain an organized, clean, and sanitary kitchen environment, including all equipment, tools, and workstations.
  • Package and display finished products for sale, upholding food safety and brand presentation standards at all times.
  • Monitor inventory and manage supplies, ensuring efficient use of ingredients and minimal waste.
  • Lead and train bakery staff (for Baker Manager) to uphold Marry Me Mochi’s commitment to quality, consistency, and teamwork.
  • Support new product development and seasonal menu launches with creativity and a willingness to learn new techniques.
  • Collaborate with the front-of-house team to fulfill customer orders, support catering requests, and help create memorable guest experiences.
  • Follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines to guarantee the safety and quality of all products.
  • Provide exceptional customer service, answering questions, sharing product knowledge, and helping guests choose their new favorites.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a commercial bakery or kitchen environment highly preferred; luxury, premium, or high-volume experience is an asset.
  • Knowledge of food safety practices and proper food handling; Food Handler Certification is an asset.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow recipes and standard operating procedures accurately.
  • Basic to advanced bakery decorating skills (glazing, piping, finishing); creativity is a plus.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
  • Positive, team-first attitude with a passion for delivering excellence and supporting others.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment while maintaining composure and high standards.
  • Flexibility to work early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
  • For Baker Manager: Previous leadership experience in a bakery or foodservice environment is strongly preferred.
