Supervisor – Tree Planting Department
Full-time, Seasonal | Ontario, Canada

Royal Oak Services is looking for a motivated and experienced Arborist Supervisor to lead our Tree Planting Department. This is a hands-on leadership role where you’ll guide a team of tree planters and nursery workers while ensuring safe, efficient, and high-quality planting operations across Ontario.

Key Responsibilities (after training)

  • Plan, estimate, and coordinate labour and materials
  • Provide strong leadership by supervising, scheduling, training, and motivating staff
  • Direct day-to-day tree-planting operations and establish clear work schedules and procedures
  • Resolve work-related issues promptly and professionally
  • Order and manage materials, equipment, and supplies
  • Maintain accurate records and reports using Microsoft Office

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Solid knowledge of Ontario tree species and tree health
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and drawings
  • Experience operating small engine equipment and pick-up trucks
  • Strong leadership and team management skills — proven ability to lead, coach, and inspire a crew
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office for record-keeping and reporting
  • Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills

Physical Requirements & Work Conditions

  • Work outdoors in all weather conditions, including hot summer days
  • Combination of sitting, standing, and walking; standing for extended periods
  • Manual dexterity and ability to distinguish between colours
  • Comfortable working under pressure with tight deadlines
